Twilight

I grew up being the type of girl that swore she would never lay hands on a Twilight book. I stayed true to my word for quite a while. It wasn't until I got an assignment for one of my classes to read an adolescent novel that the though even crossed my mind to read Twilight. The idea came because my sister had made a similar kind of pact earlier but just recently finished all four books in just a few days over Christmas break. My husband had even read the books (for a girl in high school).

So I finally put all judgments aside and started reading. I finished the book in two days... I don't do a whole lot of reading so that is very impressive for me. I don't know why I ever decided they weren't worth reading. There is a reason it was one of the most popular adolescent novel in America at one time. Duh!

Overall, super glad I read it--for the pure enjoyment of the story and that it got me into reading again. Now, I know I can't start the rest of the series until I get done with school or else I will get a week behind and maybe never catch up. But it is definitely in the plan.

All you judgers out there, don't knock it till you try it.
