Pandora dilemma

Some of my favorite music is hip hop and R&B. It gets my heart pounding, and booty popping. Haha! But really, I'm serious. If I believed in reincarnation, I would be convinced that I was a sassy  black woman in another life. I have no idea how to really dance hip hop, but when I'm by myself listening to my music, I make up my own crazy moves.

Here's the problem--most of the songs I like have terrible lyrics or are very suggestive, if you know what I mean. However, there are a lot of songs that are just as exciting and are clearn. Since, as I confessed last post, I refuse to buy music (for the most part), I usually use Pandora. I have searched everywhere on my Pandora account and I don't see any way of preventing explicit songs from coming through!

The solution, until recently, was for me to show some inhibition and stop listening to my favorite hip hop stations and stop pop, lockin', and dropin' it. I was super bummed about this until the other day when a friend told me about Spotify. So I hear, it's free to stream, you can see when a song is explicit and allow only clean or edited downloads, it has a Pandora-like feature where you can make stations based off of certain songs, and the best part is, it's legal! I haven't delved into it yet, but I am so excited about this solution to my current dilemma. Thanks Justin!

  1. I have had the same problem! This year I just stopped using certain Pandora stations because of the music that would sometimes come on. I have heard lots of people use Spotify but have never tried it myself. After learning that it can help with edited music I might have to start using it as well! Thanks for the insight!
